Cancellation and Refund policy

Pluckwalk Technologies Private Limited, a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, operates under the brand name “Brick&Bolt”. The Company is engaged in the business to act as a Consultant between the End Customers and the Contractor for the execution of construction or renovation projects. Through its mobile applications, the Company enables both the Contractor and the End Customer to access the information and track the progress of their Construction or Renovation Project.

By using the platform, all parties acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Cancellation Policy and Brick&Bolt’s intermediary role in the process.

Brick & Bolt Customer Cancellation Policy

  • Brick&Bolt takes pride in the process of providing transparent and reliable construction consultancy services. Tremendous amounts of effort are being put by Brick&Bolt in understanding the customer's requirement and providing designs and other documents/details.
  • Brick&Bolt recommends contractors to customers by carefully evaluating and matching them based on the specific criteria and preferences that matter most to each customer. These criteria may include factors such as project type, budget, location, quality expectations, timelines, and the contractor’s past performance and reliability. The goal is to ensure that the customer is paired with a contractor who is best suited to meet their unique requirements and deliver a satisfactory construction experience.
  • In the unlikely event that the customer decides to cancel the project after making any payment towards the booking amount, the customer shall clearly and specifically communicate their intent to cancel to Brick&Bolt. Such communication must be sent from the registered email address provided to Brick&Bolt, either via email to support@bricknbolt.com (or such other email address as may be provided from time to time) or by registered post with acknowledgment due, stating the reason(s) for cancellation. Until Brick&Bolt receives a formal cancellation request in accordance with this clause, the period shall be considered a service period, and any amount received in advance shall be adjusted against the services availed by the customer. Upon receipt of the cancellation request, Brick&Bolt shall review the request on a case-by-case basis and process it in accordance with the applicable terms.
  • In order to ensure seamless services, Brick&Bolt may incur costs in the course of rendering services—such as site visits, design work, surveys, testing, or other preliminary activities. In the event of a cancellation, Brick&Bolt shall be entitled to deduct such incurred costs from the service fee received, or recover the same from the customer, as applicable. All such deductions or recoveries shall be made in accordance with the applicable refund policy and proportionate to the scope of services already rendered.
  • All cancellations made in the manner as afore-mentioned beyond 48 hours from payment of any portion of the booking amount will be subject to applicable service fee corresponding to the stage of service mentioned herein. *For customers in Pune who opted for liaisoning services, an additional charge of 2.89% of Project (NDV) shall be deducted as specified in the "Additional Services for Pune Customers" clause.

    *Project Non-Discounted Value” or “NDV” refers to the total cost of the project calculated based on the standard pricing for the agreed scope of work, without considering any discounts or special offers provided to the customer. This value is used as the base amount for determining service charges, applicable fees, compensation, or any deductions under this Agreement.*
  • The service fee liable to be retained by Brick&Bolt is as per the schedule provided below:

  • The fees mentioned above are calculated as a percentage of the Project Value (NDV) and are inclusive of all applicable taxes.
  • Any additional services, not mentioned in the schedule above, will be charged on actuals.
  • For any cancellations subsequent to the execution of the Master Agreement between Customer, Brick&Bolt and Contractor, such cancellation amount shall be deducted as per the terms of the said Master Agreement.
  • Where any architectural or structural designs are completed, or where data such as a digital survey is collected, or a soil test is conducted, such information or final documentation shall be shared, if applicable, only as per the agreed schedule.
  • Any resource mobilization costs incurred by the Contractor, over and above the services provided by the Company, shall be charged separately to the Customer by the Contractor on actuals. In case of dispute between customer and contractor regarding the charges, the final decision on the amounts chargeable and/or additional time required in this regard shall rest with Brick&Bolt.
  • The service fee applicable to each stage is a fixed charge for the entire stage, and once any activity within a particular stage has commenced, the full amount for that stage shall be retained. No partial deductions shall be permitted for partially completed stages.
  • In the event that the expenses incurred in relation to the services provided by Brick&Bolt exceed the amounts paid by the customer, the customer shall be liable to pay such excess amount to Brick&Bolt or to such other person(s) as may be notified by Brick&Bolt in writing, within a period of thirty (30) business days from the date of receipt of a written notice from Brick&Bolt specifying the excess amount. In case of failure to make such payment within the specified period, Brick&Bolt shall be entitled to charge interest at the rate of 18% (eighteen percent) per annum on the outstanding amount, calculated from the due date until the date of actual receipt of the payment along with applicable interest.
  • Brick&Bolt shall transfer any refund amount payable to the Customer, after making the necessary deductions and adjustments as specified hereinabove, to the bank account details provided by the Customer. Such refund shall be processed within thirty (30) business days from the date of execution of the Settlement and Release Agreement confirming the final refund amount. Refunds shall be made only through bank transfer; cash refunds shall not be permitted.
  • Brick&Bolt reserves the right, at its reasonable discretion, to modify the cancellation policy at any time. The customer shall be informed of such modifications accordingly, and Brick&Bolt’s decision in this regard shall be final and binding on all parties. The customer shall continue to remain bound by the modified terms and conditions.

*Additional Services for the Pune Customers: For customers based in Pune, Brick&Bolt takes pride in offering additional assistance by coordinating with a liaisoning agent throughout the entire construction project.

The Liaisoning Agent means: A " liaisoning Agent" is an individual or entity that acts as an intermediary between clients and regulatory authorities in construction projects. Their primary responsibilities include facilitating necessary approvals, preparing documentation, coordinating communication, and resolving any issues related to compliance. They also assist in the preparation of municipal drawings for submission to local authorities.
